Glenn Greenwald:
On every level, it is difficult to envision a political party more hostile to individual liberty than the current Bush-led Republicans.
I might add, it's difficult to envision a political party more hostile to individual liberty than the Republican Party over the past 40 years.

i dig it, a great concise mantra no doubt!
tho' need the flip positive side, defining the strengths of being a liberal democrat too!
i'd dig hearing what bulworth has to say on that front! oh yeah!
As I approach 50, I can't recall a 'liberty' that I have been relieved of by Republicans; although they have done well to restore my 2nd Amendment rights as well as communication rights through the repeal of the misnamed 'Fairness Doctrine' and recognize to a greater degree my right to keep what I earn.
Democrat initiatives, on the other hand, have reduced (or fought against) my property rights, religious rights, parental rights and sanctity of the ballot box while insisting on bestowing 'rights' on those who have no claims, like terrorists and illegal immigrants.
