Bring It On

I'm glad Senators McCain and Lieberman have hitched their horses to the Escalation Plan laid out by Kagan and Keane because

1) Senators McCain and Lieberman have been wrong about everything else related to this war, so why stop now and
2) It has the benefit of putting M&L behind a genuine Escalation Plan, not some sissy, temporary, minor change in troop levels (i.e. a surge).

That M&L back this Escalation Plan and have been wrong about everything related to this war up till now, and that the Escalation Plan they back is really an Escalation and not a "surge" means that Democrats, in theory at least, occupy both the moral as well as the practical, common sensical high-ground.

And I almost wrote that with a straight-face.
